Today we had the pleasure of sorting an Auto-Trail Water Leak,the owner complained of water ingress at one end of the fixed double bed, he suspected the small side window as the culprit.
When we investigated, we found the Auto Trail Water Leak was caused by the old problem of a Leaky Roof Seals, at the rear of the roof, and not the window at all. Worth noting, when you park one of these always try to have it nose down, then the water runs off the roof better!
The water had found it’s way down the rear body moldings and into the ply skin inside, we just sealed it properly with Sicker-flex, please don’t use Silicone, it never works properly. Talk to us if you have an Auto Trail Water Leak.
Next job was to sort the broken electric step, two of the rivets had broken, soon fixed that with a couple of bolts and nylock nuts.
Last job to sort the wall board paper, where it was pulling away form the internal board, cant be fixed the customer was told by one, need new boarding said another… Poppycock , yes you can, we use a process to unpick the paper, then flatten and re-stick it back, looks like new!
