Leobay Campsite, on the Isle-of-Sheppey in Kent, has commanding views across the Swale, Medway and Thames Estuary. The moment we saw LeoBay we instinctively knew this would make a brilliant Campsite…
With a little vision, some patience and a lot of hard work, Leobay became a beautifully quaint hideaway for so many to enjoy!
As an experienced motor homers, and a auto electrical Engineers, we had a vision to create a small campsite with a fitting facility on site. We instinctively knew what was needed – hook-ups, hard standings, family shower rooms, a fab summer kitchen for all to enjoy and all within an hour of London!
Who would ever of thought that a journey through a sleepy industrial corner of Kent, would lead to such a beautiful place with spectacular views.
Our little piece of England, that we instantly fell in love with and proud to call home.
Just a field with a bungalow and little over an acre, we had a blank canvas. We moved in at 4 o’clock on the Friday and instantly the work began to create our lovely site. That was over 11 years ago now and things have changed a lot at Leobay Campsite Kent.
We have expanded in so many ways and the facilities we offer, you won’t normally find on certified location campsites.
A big thanks to a team of dedicated friends who helped to bring the campsite to life.
I have never seen so many lorries, delivering tons of hardcore, bricks, road planning’s and turf. We pulled the site together in just 4 months…
What a joy to see our first camper roll-up and receive such wonderful feedback. It made all of the blisters and aching muscles worthwhile.
In the past 11 years we have met so many amazing campers and thanks to this quaint little site we now have such an extended family, who love to welcome back year after year.
Building the site is just the very start. For keen gardeners we have incorporated various gardens, from somewhere to sit and relax, award winning rose garden to a variety of herb gardens that you are welcome to enjoy. We love our plants and we are extremely proud that we have received numerous awards for our efforts.
While visiting LeoBay, don’t forget you’re Camera, the sunsets are amazing, peace and quiet by the bucket, bags of wildlife, dog walks, fishing and strolls along the shore, Just round the corner for those of you into Bird Watching, you’ll find Emely Reserve well worth a visit to!
Talking of attraction, the list just goes on and on, indoors and out, there’s something for everyone, Chatham Dock Yard, Historic Rochester, and a whole string of wonderful seaside towns. Making your visit to LeoBay worthwhile!
